Product Guarantees

At Fox Windows & Doors Ltd, we offer an insurance-backed guarantee through IWA or the GGF, providing the highest level of protection for your investment.

Our Guarantee
We guarantee to repair or replace any items we manufacture that prove defective due to faulty materials or workmanship within 10 years of installation, subject to the exclusions below.
The full terms of our guarantee are available on our website and are updated regularly. Only the current version at the time of a claim will apply.

Exclusions
This guarantee does not cover:

• • Damage caused by negligence, vandalism, or wilful damage
  • Products not manufactured by us (e.g., electrical items, which are covered by the supplier’s warranty)
  • Work carried out by subcontractors (e.g., plumbing, electrical, or building work).
  • Subcontractors will provide their own guarantees.

Reporting Issues
You must notify Fox Windows & Doors Ltd of any defects or malfunctions within 3 days of installation. Failure to do so may void your right to a replacement, as outlined in our Terms and Conditions.

Supplier Guarantees

UPVC Frames
2-year guarantee (from order date) against corrosion, brittleness, and discolouration.

Origin Aluminium Windows & Doors
20-year guarantee (from order date) covering aluminium and all mechanisms.
Years 1–10: Covered by Fox Windows & Doors Ltd
Years 11–20: Covered directly by Origin
Hinges, trolley wheels, and handles: 1-year guarantee

Glass Units
2-year guarantee (from order date) against internal condensation and particle incursion
Not covered: Cracked or smashed glass due to unforeseen circumstances

Glass is inspected from 3 metres away, indoors, in daylight (not direct sunlight), at a 90° angle.
Acceptable imperfections include:

• • Enclosed seeds, blisters, hairlines, or blobs
  • Fine scratches under 25mm
  • Minute embedded particles

Hardware
1-year guarantee (from order date)
All moving parts must be cleaned and oiled at least twice a year

Out-of-Warranty Work
If you require repairs or servicing outside of the guarantee, we offer this at a rate of £140 per hour, plus the cost of any parts.

The Company accepts no liability in respect of the following:

• The failure of the installation to reduce or eliminate condensation.
• Damage resulting from subsidence due to soil shrinkage, underground or mineworking.
• Minor defects to plasterwork and brickwork due to settlement.
• Damage attributable to the failure of foundations or structure when these have not been constructed by the Company.
• Discolouration or frost damage to the brickwork.
• Damage or deterioration to the product arising out of natural wear and tear.
• Fair wear and tear; this guarantee will be void if the Purchaser has not taken reasonable care of the products.
• Handles that have been forced. Forcing will cause a failure of the flange, thus resulting in the handle appearing to be loose.
• Damage caused by jewellery such as rings and metal objects such as keys. Metal objects should not be brought in contact with handles as these will remove or damage the protective layer on the handles resulting in peeling or flaking of the product.
• Surface finishes, or product failure caused by negligence, vandalism, wilful damage, extreme environment conditions or excessive wear and tear.
• The Company does not guarantee that the level of external sound can be eliminated or reduced by installation of its product.
